Enjoy a mouthwatering Bourbon BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Meatball Subs that combines juicy, smoky, and cheesy flavors in a quick and satisfying 30-minute meal. Perfect for game day, family dinners, or any burger craving.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 soft hoagie rolls or sub buns
  • 8 slices crispy bacon
  • 1 cup bourbon BBQ sauce
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese or cheeseburger cheese slices
  • Fresh lettuce and tomato slices for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly and form into 1.5-inch meatballs.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the meatballs until browned on all sides and cooked through about 8-10 minutes, or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat bourbon BBQ sauce in a small saucepan over low-medium heat. Toss cooked meatballs in the sauce until coated evenly.
  4. Slice hoagie rolls lengthwise, leaving a hinge. Place two meatballs with sauce inside each roll. Top with crispy bacon slices and cheese. Broil for 2-3 minutes until cheese melts and bread edges toast lightly.
  5. Remove from oven, top with lettuce and tomato slices, and serve immediately with side dishes.
