Description

Cabbage Fat-burning Soup is a delicious and nutritious low-fat recipe designed to aid weight loss. Packed with fresh vegetables and herbs, this flavorful soup boosts metabolism and keeps you energized. Perfect for those following a cabbage diet or seeking a healthy, low-fat meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head of fresh green cabbage, chopped
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz)
  • 4 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional for flavor enhancement)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by washing and chopping the cabbage, carrots, celery, and onion. Mince the garlic cloves.
  2. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the carrots, celery, and chopped cabbage. Cook for another 5 minutes, letting the vegetables soften slightly.
  4. Pour in the vegetable broth and diced tomatoes, then bring to a boil.
  5. Add dried thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper to taste. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 30-40 minutes.
  6. Once cooked, ladle the soup into bowls and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

  • You can add cooked chicken or beans for extra protein.
  • Customize with other vegetables like zucchini or bell peppers.
  • For keto versions, omit the tomatoes and include more leafy greens.
  • Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 3 days. Freeze for longer storage.
