Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 8 oz of cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup of sour cream
- 3/4 cup of caramel sauce (preferably homemade or high-quality store-bought)
- 1 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt. In another bowl, combine melted butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time, then vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients, fold in chocolate chips and nuts, pour into a greased 9-inch springform pan, bake 20-25 minutes, and cool.
- Beat cream cheese until smooth, mix in sour cream. Fold in half of the caramel sauce. Spread over cooled brownie base.
- Warm remaining caramel sauce slightly. Drizzle over cheesecake and create swirls with a toothpick. Add nuts if desired.
- Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 45-50 minutes. Cool inside oven for an hour, then refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
Notes
- Ensure the cheesecake is completely cooled before adding caramel swirls for best marbling effect.
- Chopping nuts is optional but adds texture and flavor.
- For best results, refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to meld.
