Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 8 oz of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup of sour cream
  • 3/4 cup of caramel sauce (preferably homemade or high-quality store-bought)
  • 1 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt. In another bowl, combine melted butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time, then vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients, fold in chocolate chips and nuts, pour into a greased 9-inch springform pan, bake 20-25 minutes, and cool.
  2. Beat cream cheese until smooth, mix in sour cream. Fold in half of the caramel sauce. Spread over cooled brownie base.
  3. Warm remaining caramel sauce slightly. Drizzle over cheesecake and create swirls with a toothpick. Add nuts if desired.
  4. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 45-50 minutes. Cool inside oven for an hour, then refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.

Notes

  • Ensure the cheesecake is completely cooled before adding caramel swirls for best marbling effect.
  • Chopping nuts is optional but adds texture and flavor.
  • For best results, refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to meld.
