Description

Indulge in this creamy and cheesy Cheesesteak Tortellini in Provolone Sauce, a perfect fusion of savory steak and rich cheese in a delightful pasta dish. A quick and satisfying meal that’s ideal for weeknights or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (9 oz) of tortellini pasta (cheese or meat-filled)
  • 1 pound of thinly sliced sirloin steak or ribeye
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (red or green)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded Provolone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by heating 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned, about 3–4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add sliced onion and bell pepper, sautéing until tender and slightly caramelized. Add minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
  3. Prepare the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add heavy cream to the skillet with vegetables. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Gradually add shredded Provolone cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. For extra creaminess, add a splash of sour cream if desired.
  6. Add cooked tortellini and browned steak into the skillet. Toss to coat evenly and cook for 2–3 minutes to meld flavors.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra shredded Provolone cheese before serving.

Notes

  • Use high-quality cheese-filled tortellini for maximum flavor.
  • Thin slicing the steak ensures quick cooking and tenderness.
  • Adjust Provolone cheese amount according to your cheesiness preference.
  • Substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt or lighter alternatives for a healthier option.
