Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (9 oz) of tortellini pasta (cheese or meat-filled)
- 1 pound of thinly sliced sirloin steak or ribeye
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (red or green)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded Provolone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Start by heating 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned, about 3–4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced onion and bell pepper, sautéing until tender and slightly caramelized. Add minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
- Prepare the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and add heavy cream to the skillet with vegetables. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Gradually add shredded Provolone cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. For extra creaminess, add a splash of sour cream if desired.
- Add cooked tortellini and browned steak into the skillet. Toss to coat evenly and cook for 2–3 minutes to meld flavors.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and extra shredded Provolone cheese before serving.
Notes
- Use high-quality cheese-filled tortellini for maximum flavor.
- Thin slicing the steak ensures quick cooking and tenderness.
- Adjust Provolone cheese amount according to your cheesiness preference.
- Substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt or lighter alternatives for a healthier option.
