Perfect for parties, game nights, or quick snacks, these cheesy taco sticks are a crowd-pleaser packed with bold flavors and cheesy goodness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (or chicken for variation)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 sheet puff pastry or pizza dough
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional toppings: chopped lettuce, salsa, sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, season with taco seasoning, salt, and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat and let cool slightly.
  2. Lay puff pastry or pizza dough on a floured surface. Roll into a rectangle approximately 12×10 inches.
  3. Spread cooked ground beef evenly over half of the dough. Sprinkle shredded cheeses over the beef. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and seal the edges. Cut into strips about 1 to 1.5 inches wide.
  4. Place strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  5. Bake in preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-18 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  6. Remove from oven, cool slightly, and serve with toppings like chopped lettuce, salsa, or sour cream.

Notes

  • Use pre-cooked ground beef for quicker preparation.
  • Mix diced jalapeños into the beef for extra spice.
  • Swap cheeses with Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack for different flavors.
  • Pair with dipping sauces such as ranch or spicy queso for added flavor.
