- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas (garbanzo beans), rinsed and drained
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse and drain the chickpeas thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine chickpeas, olive oil, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C), line a baking tray with parchment paper, and spread the chickpeas in a single layer.
- Roast the chickpeas in the oven for 25-30 minutes, shaking the tray halfway through for even crisping.
- Once golden brown and crunchy, remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Store leftover chickpeas in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- For longer storage, keep them in the refrigerator but expect them to lose some crunch.
- Re-roast in the oven for a few minutes to refresh before serving again.
