Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 and 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for cinnamon swirl)
  • Optional: Vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and brown sugar until combined. Add eggs one at a time, stirring well after each. Mix in vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. Combine granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Spread two-thirds of batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the batter.
  5. Drop remaining batter in spoonfuls on top, then swirl gently with a knife to create a cinnamon swirl pattern.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
