Description

  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Mix in the yeast mixture and olive oil until a rough dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, adding shredded mozzarella cheese during the process.
  5. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf.
  7. Place the dough in a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet, brush with melted butter, and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and hollow sounding.
