Description
Creamy Ground Beef Gnocchi is a comforting and flavorful dish that combines tender gnocchi with a rich, creamy beef sauce, perfect for a hearty dinner that your family will love.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 package (16 oz) gnocchi
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onions and bell peppers, sauté until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- While the beef is cooking, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions, usually 3-5 minutes, until they float to the surface.
- Once the gnocchi is cooked, drain and add it to the skillet with the beef. Pour in the heavy cream and mix thoroughly. Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Sprinkle in the shredded cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of milk or cream.
- This dish pairs well with a crisp green salad or garlic bread.
- Add other vegetables like mushrooms, spinach, or zucchini for added nutrition and flavor.
- For a lighter version, substitute ground chicken or turkey.
- Gluten-free gnocchi options are available at most grocery stores.
