Description

Creamy Ground Beef Gnocchi is a comforting and flavorful dish that combines tender gnocchi with a rich, creamy beef sauce, perfect for a hearty dinner that your family will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package (16 oz) gnocchi
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onions and bell peppers, sauté until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. While the beef is cooking, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions, usually 3-5 minutes, until they float to the surface.
  4. Once the gnocchi is cooked, drain and add it to the skillet with the beef. Pour in the heavy cream and mix thoroughly. Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Sprinkle in the shredded cheese and stir until melted and creamy.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of milk or cream.
  • This dish pairs well with a crisp green salad or garlic bread.
  • Add other vegetables like mushrooms, spinach, or zucchini for added nutrition and flavor.
  • For a lighter version, substitute ground chicken or turkey.
  • Gluten-free gnocchi options are available at most grocery stores.
