Ingredients
Scale
- 400g rigatoni pasta
- 500g ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Boil the rigatoni in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and cook until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned and fully cooked through.
- Pour heavy cream into the skillet with cooked beef. Stir well and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually stir in grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens and becomes velvety. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Mix cooked rigatoni into the skillet, ensuring every piece is coated with the sauce. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Cook the pasta al dente to prevent it from becoming mushy when combined with the sauce.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for optimal flavor and melting quality.
- For deeper flavor, add a splash of white wine while cooking the beef.
- Replace heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version, but note it will alter the richness.
