- 1 box (15 oz) cake mix (vanilla or butter flavor recommended)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar

- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Peel, core, and chop the apples into small pieces. Toss apples with 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine Bisquick, cake mix, remaining sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. In another bowl, whisk eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla. Gradually add wet ingredients to dry, mixing until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into a greased loaf pan. Spread apple mixture over the batter, then top with remaining batter. Swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake at 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
