- 20 large pasta shells
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta shells in salted boiling water for 9-11 minutes until al dente, then drain and set aside to cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, chopped spinach, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried Italian herbs. Season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Stuff each cooled pasta shell with the ricotta and spinach mixture and arrange in a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over the top.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Unbaked stuffed shells can be frozen for later use. Bake from frozen at 375Β°F (190Β°C) for about 40-45 minutes.
- Serve with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal. Pair with white wine for extra delight.
