- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream (for ganache)
- 8 oz bittersweet chocolate (for ganache)
Instructions
- Sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into a large mixing bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the sour cream and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the Guinness stout.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool.
- Prepare the ganache by heating the heavy cream and pouring it over chopped bittersweet chocolate. Whisk until smooth.
