Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (preferably lean)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the spicy mayo dip:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC). In a large mixing bowl, combine beef, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, panko, egg, green onions, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Shape the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown, or pan-fry in sesame oil until browned.
  4. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk mayonnaise, Sriracha, and lime juice to make the spicy mayo dip. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
  5. Serve the hot meatballs with spicy mayo dip on the side, garnished with green onions or sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Adjust the spiciness of the mayo by adding more Sriracha.
  • For extra flavor, brush meatballs with additional soy sauce or sesame oil before baking.
  • To make ahead, assemble uncooked meatballs and freeze; bake directly from frozen when needed.
