- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and thinly slice the potatoes. Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, cook until translucent.
- Add the ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook until browned, then remove excess fat if needed.
- Spread the sliced potatoes evenly over the cooked beef in the skillet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook on low-medium heat for about 15 minutes until potatoes are tender.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the top. Cover again and cook for another 5 minutes until cheese melts and bubbles.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
- Use thinly sliced potatoes for quicker cooking and better layering.
- Ensure not to overcrowd the skillet to allow even browning.
- For a crispy cheese top, remove the lid in the last few minutes.
- Try different cheeses like Monterey Jack or mozzarella for variation.
