Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) flank or sirloin beef, thinly sliced
- 8 oz (225g) rice noodles or egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoi sin sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Optional: sliced green onions, sesame seeds, chopped chili for garnish
Instructions
- Slicing and Marinating the Beef: Thinly slice the beef against the grain. Mix 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 teaspoon cornstarch, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Marinate the beef slices for about 10 minutes.
- Searing the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook beef until browned and cooked through (about 3-4 minutes), then remove and set aside.
- Making the Sticky Sauce: Sauté minced garlic and grated ginger in the same pan until fragrant. Add remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoi sin sauce, and hoisin sauce. Simmer for 2 minutes. Mix 1 teaspoon cornstarch with water and add to thicken the sauce.
- Cooking the Noodles: Follow package instructions to cook noodles until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Final Assembly: Return cooked beef to the pan with sauce. Add noodles and toss to coat evenly. Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and chili if desired.
