Description

Taco Lasagna: A Flavorful and Layered Mexican Delight, combining the best of Mexican cuisine with comforting layers of lasagna. A perfect dish for family meals or gatherings!


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cup chopped bell peppers
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add taco seasoning and water as per instructions, cooking until well combined.
  2. While beef is cooking, chop tomatoes and bell peppers. Mix with the cooked beef and add a splash of salsa.
  3. Layer 3 noodles at the bottom of a greased baking dish. Spoon in half of the beef mixture and sprinkle with cheese. Repeat, finishing with noodles, salsa, and cheese on top.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cover and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • This dish can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for a month.
  • Serve with fresh avocado, sour cream, and tortilla chips for a delightful meal.
  • To make it vegetarian, substitute ground beef with lentils or black beans.
