  • 2 dried ancho chilies, stemmed and seeded
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • Corn tortillas
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Diced onions and lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Soak dried guajillo and ancho chilines in hot water for 15 minutes, then drain.
  2. Blend chilies with garlic, onion, cumin, oregano, vinegar, and salt to form a marinade.
