  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook pasta until al dente, drain, and set aside. Shred the cooked chicken if using store-bought rotisserie chicken.
  3. In a large bowl, combine chicken, pasta, sour cream, mushroom soup, onion soup mix, onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish and drizzle with melted butter.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Add crispy fried onions if desired before serving.
