Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound cooked turkey breast, shredded or sliced
- 12 Hawaiian rolls or slider buns
- 1 cup cranberry sauce (fresh or canned)
- 8 slices Havarti cheese or cheese of your choice
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (for topping)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Start by slicing the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on the inside of the top buns if desired. Arrange the bottom half of the rolls in a baking dish. Layer the shredded turkey evenly over the rolls.
- Spread a generous amount of cranberry sauce over the turkey, then top with slices of Havarti cheese or your preferred meltable cheese. Place the top bun over the assembled ingredients.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix the melted butter with poppy seeds, then brush it evenly over the top of the sliders. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and sliders are heated through. Remove foil during the last 5 minutes for a crispy top.
Notes
- You can assemble the sliders ahead of time and refrigerate overnight. Bake them fresh the next day for best results.
- For gluten-free options, substitute Hawaiian rolls with gluten-free buns or sliced bread.
- Experiment with different cheeses like Swiss or provolone for varied flavors.
