Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound cooked turkey breast, shredded or sliced
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls or slider buns
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (fresh or canned)
  • 8 slices Havarti cheese or cheese of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (for topping)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by slicing the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on the inside of the top buns if desired. Arrange the bottom half of the rolls in a baking dish. Layer the shredded turkey evenly over the rolls.
  2. Spread a generous amount of cranberry sauce over the turkey, then top with slices of Havarti cheese or your preferred meltable cheese. Place the top bun over the assembled ingredients.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix the melted butter with poppy seeds, then brush it evenly over the top of the sliders. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and sliders are heated through. Remove foil during the last 5 minutes for a crispy top.

Notes

  • You can assemble the sliders ahead of time and refrigerate overnight. Bake them fresh the next day for best results.
  • For gluten-free options, substitute Hawaiian rolls with gluten-free buns or sliced bread.
  • Experiment with different cheeses like Swiss or provolone for varied flavors.
