Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups peeled, diced apples (preferably Granny Smith)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Caramel sauce, for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Create a well in the center, add egg, milk, and melted butter. Stir until just combined and fold in diced apples.
  3. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Grease a baking sheet or use parchment paper. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared sheet.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and drizzle caramel sauce if desired. Serve warm.
