- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups peeled, diced apples (preferably Granny Smith)
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Caramel sauce, for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar. Whisk until well blended.
- Create a well in the center, add egg, milk, and melted butter. Stir until just combined and fold in diced apples.
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Grease a baking sheet or use parchment paper. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and drizzle caramel sauce if desired. Serve warm.
